Sermorelin vs HGH: what sermorelin is
Plain definitions first. The physician covers what applies to you.
Sermorelin is a synthetic peptide built from the first 29 amino acids of growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH), the signal the hypothalamus sends to the pituitary gland.1
The FDA approved it in 1990 under the brand name Geref, which was later discontinued; what is prescribed today is compounded.
Growth hormone itself, somatropin or HGH, is a different medicine with its own FDA-approved labels. If you are weighing sermorelin alongside testosterone therapy, the physician reviews both together.
| Question | Sermorelin | Growth hormone (somatropin) |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | A GHRH analog, 29 amino acids | Growth hormone itself, 191 amino acids |
| Where it acts | Signals the pituitary gland | Acts on the body directly |
| FDA status today | Compounded, not FDA-approved | FDA-approved for specific conditions |
| How it is given | Subcutaneous injection, as prescribed | Injection, as prescribed |
| Who decides | An independent physician, after review | A physician, within its label |
What people ask before booking sermorelin
Six frustrations, and how this service answers each one.
“I can’t tell what it really costs.”
The price of each supply is on this page, and the full amount is confirmed before you pay. No membership sits on top.
“What if the physician says no?”
Then nothing is prescribed, nothing ships and you pay nothing. There is no membership to cancel.
“Everyone online promises the same thing.”
Atlas HRT promises no outcome. An independent physician tells you what is known, what is not, and whether sermorelin fits.
“I’ve never given myself an injection.”
Sermorelin is a small injection under the skin. The physician’s directions cover how to prepare, give and store each dose, and tablet or troche forms can be discussed.
“Do I need blood work?”
Only the labs the physician selects. If any are needed, their cost is confirmed first, and recent labs can be used.
“I don’t have time for clinic visits.”
The consultation is by telehealth, and the pharmacy ships the prepared supply to your Florida address.

What sermorelin research measured
Background from published studies, cited below. None of it is a promise about your outcome.
Sermorelin is a synthetic form of GHRH, the hormone the hypothalamus releases to signal the pituitary.1
In a small, short study of older men, GHRH(1-29) given twice daily raised GH and IGF-I levels.2
That study measured hormone levels in a handful of men for a short time. It did not measure symptoms, and it did not test the compounded product a pharmacy prepares today.
